MY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY KIT
-
SONY A74 (2X)
My main workhorse cameras. They're light, have great ISO performance, and reliable.
-
LEICA Q2
One of my all-time favorite cameras and is always wrapped around my neck on a wedding day. It’s my primary camera for those documentary moments and I also use this almost exclusively for the fun dance floor candids.
-
LEICA Q3 43
The newest addition to my kit, which replaced my Leica M10R simply for the autofocus and EVF. Like the Q2, this camera is small and out of the way with beautiful optical quality.
-
SONY ZEISS PLANAR 50
Another staple lens for me. This lens never leaves the camera. 80% of my coverage is this lens and the Q2.
-
SONY 35MM G-MASTER
A relatively newer addition that I bring out from time to time when I need just a bit more space without going as wide at 28mm. This lens is fast and has a beautiful portrait rendering in the right conditions.
-
LEICA 50MM SUMMILUX
Quite possibly the best 50mm portrait lens ever made... has an incredible flare characteristic and depth of field. This was on my M, but I'm still deciding if I need to keep to mount to one of my sony's.
-
GODOX V1 FLASHES
I use this on my sony's at night, but honestly don't love the hotshoe mount. It breaks often because it's cheap plastic, but it does the trick without breaking the bank, like the sony natives or Profoto. I would recommend having two incase you accidentally break it during a busy wedding.
-
SONY 28-70MM F/2.0
For most of my career I wasn’t fond of zoom lenses, but that all changed when this lens came out. It is a true, one-lens workhorse for a wedding day.
